The Facts:
Nicks was adamant yesterday about his status Wednesday against the Cowboys. He didn't practice and Tom Coughlin said there was "some soreness" in Nicks' surgically-repaired right foot, but Nicks maintained there was no doubt in his mind he was going to play in the season opener. Still, Nicks wasn't in pads for practice again today.

During the portion of practice of open to the media, Nicks began by catching passes from Eli Manning in the corner of the end zone and later participated in jog-throughs. He will likely be penciled in as a DNP (did not practice). We'll know in a little while if his status for Wednesday has changed in the last 24 hours. Stay tuned.
