Just hours after the Giants listed Nicks as questionable for Thursday night’s game against the Panthers with a foot injury, the team announced that Nicks is not on the team flight to Carolina and won’t play against the Panthers.

As PFT's Michael David Smith notes, that’s a bigger blow to the Giants than any of the players they had already listed out, running back Ahmad Bradshaw, offensive lineman David Diehl, receiver Domenik Hixon and defensive end Adewale Ojomo. Nicks is, along with teammate Victor Cruz, tied for the NFL lead in receiving yards, with 237 so far this season. With Nicks and Hixon both out, Ramses Barden, Rueben Randle and Jerrel Jernigan will be asked to pick up the pace.
