The Facts:
New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman injured his hand and was forced out of Sunday's Week 3 game against the Ravens. Edelman appeared to have injured his hand after making an 11-yard catch for a touchdown. He attempted to return in the third quarter but left for the locker room before playing a snap.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
No word on how serious Edelman's injury is, but he was spotted on the sideline catching passes from backup QB Ryan Mallet. Edelman was on the field for a significant number of snaps prior to the injury. There seems to be no stopping the speculation that Edelman is being groomed to be Wes Welker's replacement, however Welker continues to be the more productive on field and fantasy producer—at least for now. Edelman may be worth a speculative add in deeper leagues because it's clear that Belichick and the Patriots like what they see in him.
