The Facts:
Following up on a
previous itemIndianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano announced that wide receiver Austin Collie sustained a ruptured patella tendon in his right knee in Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Collie will be placed on season-ending IR. “It’s terrible,” Pagano said of Collie being placed on injured reserve. “We feel awful about the loss, but in the big picture, you feel awful for a guy like Austin that has battled through so many things in his career and then go out and have this happen. You hate to see anybody get injured on the football field, but I feel really bad about Austin."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
After four concussions in less than two years, the knee injury is the latest setback in Collie's once promising career. Collie's absence opens the door for Donnie Avery to lock down the starting job opposite veteran Reggie Wayne. He's shown chemistry with rookie quarterback Andrew Luck, but will have to improve his catch rate to be a reliable fantasy starter. Speedy rookie wideout T.Y. Hilton shows promise as the team's No. 3 receiver and deeper league fantasy pickup.
