The Facts:
Atlanta Falcons defensive end John Abraham was arrested on Monday night and charged with obstruction of police and obstruction of firefighters--both misdemeanors. Police and firefighters were responding to a call about a woman threatening to jump from one of the buildings. The police report said Abraham entered the restricted area and was confronted by a firefighter who repeatedly ordered him to leave the scene and Abraham refused to leave. The Falcons issued the following statement: “We are aware of the news regarding John Abraham. We are in the process of gathering more information and we will have no further comment at this time.”

Abraham is the second Atlanta Falcons player to be arrested in the past week. Running back Michael Turner was arrested early last Tuesday and charged with DUI and speeding. The arrest didn't impact Turner's playing status in Week 3, and it would be a surprise if Abraham wasn't available for Sunday's home game against the Carolina Panthers.
