Helu was initially viewed as a potential starter in Washington, but he has fallen by the wayside just like Tim Hightower. Helu was reduced to a third-down role behind starter Alfred Morris, and his toe injury has ended his season quickly. Evan Royster, who is nursing a sore knee, and Grant will back up Morris.
