The Facts:
The Indianapolis Colts confirmed head coach Chuck Pagano is being treated for acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Pagano had felt unusually fatigued in recent weeks and noticed some bruising on his body. He had blood tests during the team's bye week that confirmed the diagnosis. Pagano's doctor, Larry Cripe, said the coach will spend six weeks" in a protected environment" at the hospital while he undergoes treatment. Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians will take over as the team’s head coach in Pagano's absence.
