After missing just one game with an ankle injury suffered in Week 2 against the Packers, Forte is ready to play against the Cowboys tonight. The only thing that could keep Forte out at this point is a “freak accident,” according to Jay Glazer of FOXSports.

Although
a freak accident befell two Redskins players before Sunday’s game in Tampa Bay, look for Forte to be on the field tonight. The question is one of workload. As PFT's Michael David Smith suggests, it’s possible that the Bears will take it easy on Forte and give more carries than usual to Michael Bush. But we suspect the Bears would not rush Forte back unnecessarily and that he's going to be active because they expect him to be ready for full duty. Forte has 23 carries for 111 yards and seven catches for 89 yards in two games this season. ... Remember: We'll have Forte's official game status in the hour leading up to kickoff.
