Packers' Benson ruled out for Week 6 vs. Texans
(10/8 4:24 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item, Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy announced running back Cedric Benson has been ruled out for Week 6 against the Houston Texans. Benson is dealing with an unspecified foot sprain. McCarthy gave no timetable for his return. The coach also said the team would assess all their young running backs as they strive to establish consistency on offense.  Reported by Allie Fontana on Twitter

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
With Benson sidelined in Week 6, look for the Packers to employ a multi-headed backfield rotation comprised of Alex Green, James Starks, John Kuhn, and possibly Brandon Saine. Starks has been a healthy scratch the past few weeks, though he has fully recovered from a bad case of preseason turf toe. Green totaled 55 yards on nine carries, including a 41-yard run on Sunday versus the Colts. We expect Aaron Rodgers to throw 45-plus times against the Texans, which means none of the Green Bay running backs are great fantasy starts in Week 6. While we think Green will get the start, Starks and Saine could also be in the mix. Finally, you can't count out touchdown vulture and short-yardage specialist John Kuhn.
