The Facts:
Cincinnati Bengals running back Brian Leonard sustained a rib injury on special teams play in the second quarter of Sunday's 34-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns. He left the game and didn't return. Leonard is scheduled to undergo additional tests on Monday to determine the severity of the injury. Neither of the rookies on the Bengals practice squad (Daniel Herron or Jourdan Brooks) are considered ready for prime time. Expect the Bengals to try out free-agent running backs on Tuesday in preparation for next Sunday's divisional matchup versus the Steelers.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
While he wasn't a fantasy factor, Leonard's rib injury leaves the Bengals thin at the position, with only two healthy backs, BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Cedric Peerman, on the roster. Bernard Scott suffered a season-ending ACL injury in Week 5. Fantasy owners in deeper PPR leagues may want to put Peerman on your watch lists. While he had only one carry on the day, Peerman posted 76 yards on a team-high eight receptions. He could have some fantasy value as a matchup-based flex option if he keeps this up.
