A league source confirms the Chicago Bears plan to release running back Kahlil Bell today. The team will use the roster spot to bolster wide receiver depth following the loss of Alshon Jeffery for four to six weeks.

We'd be surprised if Bell didn't generate interest from a number of teams given the recent rash of injuries to starting and backup running backs around the league. The Packers, Bengals, and Titans are among those that immediately come to mind.
