The Facts:
Following up on a
previous item, the Chicago Bears announced the signing of tight end Brody Eldridge and the waiving of running back Kahlil Bell. Eldridge, a former fifth-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts in 2010, was waived by the team after two seasons. He was claimed off waivers in May by the St. Louis Rams and then released following the suspension. Eldridge worked out for the Bears last week. Bell was re-signed by Chicago on September 15 after Matt Forte injured his ankle. He wanted an opportunity to play after being inactive versus Jacksonville in Week 5.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
We don't expect Eldridge to be a fantasy factor as his strength is blocking. Will be interesting to see if the Bears plan to get Kellen Davis more involved in the passing offense. As mentioned in previous reports, Bell should land elsewhere before too long given the number of injuries at the running back position. The Packers, Titans, Bengals and Jets are among the teams hit by the recent injury bug.
