MRI confirms dislocated shoulder for Jets' Powell; ruled out vs. Patriots
(10/16 1:38 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item, the MRI on New York Jets running back Bilal Powell confirmed he sustained a dislocated shoulder in Sunday's decisive win over the Indianapolis Colts. Powell has been ruled out for Week 7's divisional contest against the New England Patriots. The Jets will activate running back Jonathan Grimes from the practice squad to backup Shonn Greene.  Reported by Allie Fontana on Twitter

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Depending on the grade/severity of Powell's dislocated shoulder, the Jets could decide to keep him on ice until after the Week 9 bye. Powell had played well enough as Greene's primary backup and team's third-down back. With third-stringer Joe McKnight diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain, the Jets are between a rock-and-a-hard place in the backfield. Jets could look to sign a free agent to add depth behind Greene and recent practice squad signee Jonathan Grimes.
