The Facts:
Washington Redskins tight end Fred Davis is expected to miss the rest of the season with a torn left Achilles tendon. Davis went down late in the first quarter of Sunday's game against NFL East division rival New York Giants. He was in visible pain as trainers helped him off the field and then taken to the locker room on a cart. The Redskins quickly announced that Davis was done for the day. Profootballtalk.com was the first to report Davis' injury was season ending.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Davis headed into Week 7 leading the team in in targets, receptions and yardage, so this is a tough blow for the Redskins offense. Niles Paul, a converted tight end and Logan Paulsen are behind Davis on the depth chart. It's possible the Redskins could re-sign veteran tight end Chris Cooley or another free agent to bolster the position.
