The Facts:
The San Diego Chargers have agreed to terms with Danario Alexander, according to tweet issued on Thursday, October 18 from the @D_Alexander84 verified account of the former St. Louis Rams wide receiver. Alexander sent a follow up tweet on October 21 that said "San Diego bound, so excited about this upcoming week." The talented, yet oft-injured wide out was one of several players the team worked out last week. Alexander received an injury settlement from the Rams after spending most of training camp on the sideline with a hamstring injury.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
San Diego's plans to sign Alexander makes sense in light of Norv Turner's announcement last week that second-year receiver Vincent Brown is still rehabbing his ankle and isn't ready to return to practice. Alexander made his NFL debut on October 17, 2010 in a game against the Chargers, catching a 38-yard touchdown pass from Rams quarterback Sam Bradford. Alexander adds high-upside depth to a Chargers' receiving corps in dire need of some juice. Unfortunately he has rarely been close to 100 percent healthy during his three-year pro career. San Diego will need to make a roster move in order to sign Alexander. With Nate Kaeding reportedly ready to resume kicking duties after dealing with a multiweek groin injury, the team is expected to release Nick Novak. Alexander's injury history has made him an unreliable fantasy option in the past, however his talent and upside make him watch list worthy.
