Chiefs' Peyton Hillis returns to practice
(10/23 11:31 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item, Kansas City Chiefs running back Peyton Hillis practice Monday for the first time since he suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 3. His availability for Kansas City's Week 8 meeting with the Oakland Raiders is uncertain, although head coach Romeo Crennel was optimistic about his chances.  Reported by the Kansas City Star

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Hillis has been a disappointment through the first half of the 2012 season. With the Chiefs off to a 1-5 start, Crennel and Co. are on the hot seat to turn things around. Integrating Hillis into the team's offensive game plan should be one of the tactics to make that happen. Shaun Draughn wasn't the "2" in the "1-2" punch the Chiefs had in mind when they signed Hillis this offseason. Hillis had to do his part too. There's a good chance that disgruntled fantasy owners cut ties with Hillis and he's on your waiver wire. Owners in shallow leagues may have safer options to roll with at the position, but those in deeper leagues may want put Hillis on the radar and be ready to pounce in case he shows signs of life.
