The Facts:
Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson told reporters that his sore knee was a contributing factor in his disappointing Week 8 performance against the Seattle Seahawks. "It's tough to stick my foot in the ground with my knee hurting, but that's no excuse," said Johnson. In addition to knee soreness, Johnson was also shaken up on a big hit in the third quarter when he had his legs chopped out from under him by Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner and came down hard on his back. "I'll be all right. You're good after the win, but you'll feel it all on Monday."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Under different circumstances, Johnson may have sat out a game or two to get the knee healthy, however between the Lions shaky play and the loss of Nate Burleson, he's opted to play through the injury.
