Hurricane Sandy comes between Greg Jennings and his groin surgery
(10/29 4:49 PT)

The Facts:
Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy announced that wide receiver Greg Jennings groin surgery planned for Tuesday, October 30 in Philadelphia has been postponed because of Hurricane Sandy. McCarthy said the surgery has yet to be rescheduled.  Reported by Allie Fontana on Twitter

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The groin injury has taken a serious bite out of Jennings' 2012 season, and now it looks like Hurricane Sandy will postpone the surgery another week. With a post-surgery recovery timetable of three-to-six weeks, it's time for the Pro Bowl wide out's fantasy owners—if you haven't already done it—to weigh the pros and cons of keeping him on your roster. Doing the math it looks like Week 13 would be the best case scenario for a Jennings return, though even if that were to occur, he'd probably be rotated back into the lineup as he got back up to full speed. We think Jennings is droppable in the majority of seasonal fantasy leagues. If your fantasy team is locked into the playoffs or you have a deep bench, you may be in a position to stash Jennings and hope that he returns in time to help you out. On the other hand, fantasy teams on the playoff bubble or those with losing records may want to cut bait on Jennings and focus on winning now.
