The Facts:
Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak confirmed Monday that Jake Locker fractured a bone in his left non-throwing)shoulder at the same time he dislocated it on a hit by the Houston Texans' Glover Quin. The fracture is the main reason why Locker has not been cleared to return to practice and take contact. Locker may opt to correct the problem with surgery in the offseason. Munchak also stated that Matt Hasselbeck would remain the Titans' starter for the foreseeable future.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
We can't say we're surprised to learn that there was more to Locker's shoulder injury than a dislocation. The weeks are ticking away on Locker's sophomore season and now it looks almost a certainty that he won't be ready to return until after the Titans Week 11 bye at the earliest. Hasselbeck will start in Week 9 against the Chicago Bears and most likely in Week 10 versus the Miami Dolphins. While Locker is worth holding onto in dynasty leagues, he is safe to drop in the majority of seasonal formats. Hasselbeck continues to be a low-end starter as a bye-week replacement on QB2 in start two quarterback fantasy leagues.
