The Facts:
The Kansas City Chiefs have ruled out quarterback Brady Quinn for Week 9 against the San Diego Chargers. Quinn sustained a concussion in Sunday's loss to the Oakland Raiders and has not been cleared to return to practice. Matt Cassel will draw the start, and second-year signal caller Ricky Stanzi will back him up.

The short week made it next to impossible for Quinn to be cleared in time for the Chiefs-Chargers matchup on Thursday night. Cassel plays fast and loose with the football, which upgrades San Diego's defense this week. Dwayne Bowe also gets an uptick with Cassel under center. We can only hope that the Kansas City coaching staff puts together a game plan that includes star running back Jamaal Charles.
