The Facts:
Head coach Pete Carroll said Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin is a longshot to play in the team's Week 9 home game versus the Minnesota Vikings. Baldwin sustained a high-ankle sprain during Seattle's loss in San Francisco on Oct. 18. The second-year wideout began running at the end of last week, while still dealing with significant pain. He has 11 catches for 149 yards and a touchdown in six games this season.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Fantasy owners had high hopes for Baldwin to build on his surprisingly productive rookie season when he finished as Seattle's top receiver. Unfortunately he has been hobbled by a series of injuries including a balky hamstring that sidelined him for most of the preseason; a shoulder injury that kept him out of Week 3 vs. Green Bay, and now the high-ankle sprain. He has zero fantasy value in seasonal leagues and can be safely dropped in most formats.
