Bears' Jay Cutler down and out with a concussion; Jason Campbell gets the call
(11/11 9:21 PT)

The Facts:
It's been a bad day for quarterbacks in the NFL. Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler became the third signal caller diagnosed with a concussion in Week 10 action. Cutler took a hard hit by Houston linebacker Tim Dobbins with just under three minutes left in the second quarter. Dobbins received an unsportsmanlike penalty on the play. While Cutler did not undergo concussion testing on the sideline, the team announced his day was over at the start of the second half. Jason Campbell, who signed with the Bears in the offseason, replaced Cutler under center. Cutler took a blow to the head on a hit that drew an unsportsmanlike flag, but it was little consolation for the Bears or Cutler's fantasy owners, who had to settle for the QB's poor first half (11-of-18, 64 yards, 2 picks) on a rain-soaked night in Chicago. Cutler did his best work on the ground, leading the team in rushing in the first half with 37 yards on 3 rushes. Reported by Allie Fontana on Twitter

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Cutler didn't do much for fantasy owners before exiting Sunday's game, completing 11-of-18 passes for 64 yards and two interceptions and adding 37 yards on the ground. He'll be subject to the league's concussion protocol before he can return to practice. Chicago will take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11. It's a Monday night game, and with Alex Smith also concussed, we could be looking at a battle of the backups with Jason Campbell and Colin Kaepernick. Between bye weeks and injuries, Campbell is a serviceable starter for fantasy owners in a bind.
