LeSean McCoy suffers a concussion in final minutes of Eagles loss to Redskins
(11/18 4:43 PT)

The Facts:
Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy sustained a head injury in the final minutes of the team's crushing Week 11 loss to the Washington Redskins. McCoy took a hard shot to the helmet with 1:45 left. He was initially evaluated on the field, then taken to the locker room on a cart. Eagles head coach Andy Reid confirmed McCoy was concussed. McCoy finished with 15 carries for 45 yards and a team-high 67 receiving yards.  Reported by Allie Fontana on Twitter

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
You have to wonder why McCoy was still in the game with less than two minutes left and the team down 25 points. It was the second consecutive week in which two key offensive starters went down with concussions. Michael Vick is on the mend from a concussion he suffered in Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys. McCoy is the heart and soul of the Eagles offense and his loss is a huge blow to the team and fantasy owners counting on him to get them to the playoffs. He will undergo a battery of tests under the NFL's concussion protocol and will have to be medically cleared before he can return to practice. McCoy will have an extra day to recover as the Eagles take on the Carolina Panthers a week from Monday. Fantasy owners are advised to grab backup Bryce Brown to cover their fantasy assets. T
