Ravens TE Pitta knocked out with a concussion
(11/18 9:1 PT)

The Facts:
The Baltimore Ravens confirmed tight end Dennis Pitta was knocked out of Sunday's AFC North contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a concussion. Pitta sustained the concussion after being tackled by safety Ryan Clark and linebacker Lawrence Timmons during the early in the first quarter. Field reporters noted Pitta looked extremely woozy. He was taken to the locker room for evaluation and later ruled out. Pitta had one catch for five yards before his night came to an abrupt end.  Reported by Allie Fontana on Twitter

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Pitta got off to a fast start early in the season, but had cooled off considerably after Week 3 until he posted five catches for 67 yards and a touchdown against Oakland last week. The concussion puts Pitta's fantasy comeback on hold. Like all players with head injuries, he'll undergo a battery of tests as part of the league's concussion protocol and won't be able to practice again until he is cleared by an independent doctor. Pitta's status for Week 12 is up-in-the-air. If he should miss any time, Ed Dickson would be in line for additional looks by Joe Flacco, though we'd need to see him produce before recommending him as a fantasy option in most formats.
