Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain
(11/26 10:41 PT)

The Facts:
Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart left in the third quarter of Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles with an ankle injury and did not return. Prior to his exit, Stewart rushed eight times for 27 yards and caught two balls for nine yards. DeAngelo Williams replaced him in the backfield and Mike Tolbert rotated in. Head coach Ron Rivera said Tuesday that Stewart has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain and is questionable for Week 13 vs. Kansas City.  Reported by Allie Fontana on Twitter

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Stewart gave fantasy owners a glimmer of hope when he scored his first touchdown of the season in Week 11. Unfortunately it was quick trip back to reality for Stewart owners when he suffered yet another ankle injury and produced mediocre fantasy numbers. Stewart is a candidate to miss multiple games with the high-ankle sprain diagnosis. Unless you are in a very, very deep league, feel free to drop him without hesitation. While DeAngelo Williams and Mike Tolbert stand to gain more touches with Stewart on the sideline, neither are particularly good options heading into the fantasy playoffs. Williams carried 11 times for 21 yards and Tolbert had one carry for three yards and a catch out of the backfield. From a matchup standpoint, both are decent flex options against the Chiefs on Sunday, however hard to trust. Avoid if you can.
