The Facts:
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Jalen Parmele's season came to a premature end Tuesday when he was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury. After outperforming Rashad Jennings over a several week span, Parmele was named the Jags starter for Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans. Parmele injured his groin on his first carry of the game and returned to action just before halftime. He played through the pain to finish with 45 yards on eight carries and a seven-yard catch. Rashad Jennings handled the rushing load when Parmele was sidelined, carrying the ball 16 times for 43 yards and a score. With Maurice Jones-Drew expect to miss Week 13 and Parmele out for the season, Jennings will get another shot as the starter.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Parmele's fantasy relevance was short-lived, considering he was waiver wire fodder when he put up 80 yards on 24 carries. He was a popular pickup heading into last week's matchup with Tennessee, and while the injury on his first carry of the game was a little Ryan Mathews-esque, he played through a painful groin issue and his 4-point fantasy output (non-PPR) was better than a goose egg. Be sure to drop Parmele from your roster. While Jennings hasn't impressed in MJD's absence, he'll once again be the top dog in the Jaguars backfield when the Jaguars face off against the Buffalo Bills in a potentially favorable matchup. What he does with that opportunity remains to be seen. Jacksonville signed Jordan Todman off the Vikings' practice squad on Tuesday. Leave Todman on the waiver wire for now.
