Young returned to Detroit Lions practice today, after a nine-day absence for disciplinary reasons.

Young was sent home from the team practice facility the day after the Lions lost to the Green Bay Packers. Young purposely lined up wrong on the field multiple times in the game and mouthed off to receivers coach Shawn Jefferson. But according to Free Press staffer David Birkett, Young, who took a front-row stretching spot after Nate Burleson broke his leg last month, sat in the back of stretching lines today, went last in most receiver drills and took reps with the second-team offense during the portion of practice open to the media. ... It's a situation worth watching in coming days.
