The Facts:
Brad Childress did not rule out any possibility while discussing the future of Daunte Culpepper on Friday afternoon. The new coach admitted he has received a couple of calls from other teams about the injured quarterback and refused to close the door on speculation Culpepper could be released. "You don't ever say never at this time of year," Childress said.

Childress spoke to reporters during a news conference at the NFL combine. His remarks came a day after Culpepper claimed that owner Zygi Wilf told him that "the Vikings
have not yet spoken to other teams about trading me." While Childress did not end talk of Culpepper's potential departure, he also acknowledged at this moment he's planning on having Brad Johnson and Culpepper as his quarterbacks when training camp opens. ... We'll see.
