The Facts:
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe caught two passes for 70 yards in the opening quarter of Sunday's Week 14 game against the Cleveland Browns. Bowe was kicked at the end of a play later in the first quarter and headed to the locker room to receive medical attention. The team announced he was dealing with a rib issue. He was later ruled out for the rest of the game. Kansas City fears Bowe may have broken two ribs—a situation that could end his season. He has 59 receptions for 801 yards and three touchdowns on the year.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Forget sugar plums—owners had visions of fantasy pointing dancing in their heads when Bowe notched two catches for 70 yard early in the first quarter. Unfortunately, the Fantasy Grinch had other plans and Bowe's hot start was stopped cold in its tracks by a rib injury. If Bowe has a pair of broken ribs as speculated and with only three games left in the regular season, we can't imagine the Chiefs will rush him back to the field. Kansas City (2-11) is out of playoff contention and Bowe will either receive a second franchise tag during the offseason or become an unrestricted free agent. Bowe will undergo tests Monday to determine the extent of his injury and a recovery timetable. We'll keep you updated on his status as information becomes available. The Chiefs have a fantasy-friendly matchup coming up against the Oakland Raiders, however it's unclear at this time whether Bowe will suit up next Sunday.
