Griffin's attendance Wednesday should not be interpreted as a clear indication of his status for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. His mildly sprained right knee will be treated and monitored throughout the week. According to Times staffer Rich Campbell, Griffin -- wearing a helmet, cleats and a jersey like the rest of his teammates -- practiced dropping back, planting and throwing short passes, which appeared to have their normal velocity. He even threw one pass from behind his back. He ran in a straight line at a moderate pace and also shuffled his feet laterally in separate portions of the team's stretching session. He moved smoothly at times and gingerly at others. Griffin wore long pants, so whether he wore a knee brace was not evident. We'll continue to follow up on his status as the week progresses.
