The Jaguars have placed Shorts on injured reserve following his second concussion of the month.

Shorts sustained a concussion in Sunday's loss to New England. He also sat out the Dec. 9 game against the New York Jets with a concussion. He had 55 receptions for a team-leading 979 yards and seven touchdowns. The Jaguars already have receiver Laurent Robinson on IR. They traded Mike Thomas and waived Kevin Elliott, leaving rookie Justin Blackmon as the only remaining receiver from the opener. Jacksonville also placed running back Rashad Jennings (shoulder) and linebacker Greg Jones (leg) on IR.
