The Titans are keeping HC Mike Munchak for the 2013 season, owner Bud Adams told The Tennessean today.“I think he is the right guy to get the job done,” Adams said. “He just needs the right people around him.” Which brought up a second point: Senior executive vice president Mike Reinfeldt has been fired, Adams said. “I don’t think he was getting the job done," the owner said. " Mike Reinfeldt is out.”

Munchak is 15-17 in two seasons as head coach. The Titans went 9-7 in 2011 but just missed out on the playoffs. This season they got off to a 1-4 start and finished 6-10 with a 38-20 victory over the Jaguars on Sunday. He has two years remaining on his contract. “Mike Munchak will be the head coach,” Adams said. “The way we played yesterday is an indication of the way we can play. I believe Mike Munchak can get the job done. ...” Ruston Webster, who just completed his first year as Titans general manager, will remain in his role but is expected to gain more control over personnel matters with Reinfeldt’s departure.
