Bryant had postponed the operation after suffering the injury Dec. 9 during the fourth quarter of the Cowboys’ 20-19 victory over Cincinnati. Bryant decided to delay the procedure because the Cowboys were contending for a playoff spot. He opted to play the remaining games with a taped-up splint. This season, Bryant enjoyed the best season of his pro career, making 92 catches, amassing 1,382 receiving yards and scoring 12 touchdowns. Following his injury, he made 17 receptions for 354 yards and three touchdowns.
