Jay Gruden To Interview With Cardinals
(1/8 2:24 PT)

The Facts:
The Cardinals are scheduled to interview Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden on Thursday in Arizona, according to a source. Reported by the Arizona Republic

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Gruden, 45, has been with the Bengals for two seasons. He played and coached in the Arena Football League and was an assistant under his brother, Jon Gruden, for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2002 to 2008. Gruden is the fourth name to surface in the Cardinals’ search to replace Ken Whisenhunt, who was fired last week after six seasons as head coach. Team President Michael Bidwill has interviewed Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton and Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy. The Cardinals also have received permission from the Pittsburgh Steelers to interview offensive coordinator Todd Haley, but it’s unknown whether that meeting has been scheduled. The team just announced that Steve Keim, formerly the team’s vice president of player personnel, has been promoted to GM; he'll obviously have a role in hiring the next head coach.
