The Facts:
Tebow is expected to be one-and-done with the Jets, and now that the potential landing spot in his hometown of Jacksonville is officially closed, the NFL may have seen the last of Tebow Mania. “I think it could be over,” an NFL source said Thursday night. “He can go on with his life successfully without football.”
At his introductory news conference in Jacksonville on Thursday, the new Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said of Tebow: “I can’t imagine a scenario in which he’ll be a Jacksonville Jaguar — even if he’s released.”

Meanwhile, Daily News columnist Gary Myers reiterates the Jets have almost zero intention of bringing back Tebow, who has two years left on his contract. They will look to trade him before they cut him. The Jags were the only team other than the Jets who were interested in trading for Tebow last March after the Broncos signed Peyton Manning. The problem, as the Daily News framed it: "Tebow is considered a good football player but a lousy quarterback, which means he would have a better chance of sticking around the NFL as a tight end or fullback. But he insists he’s a quarterback. ..." The bigger problem is the soap-operaesque circus that is part and parcel of brining Tebow on board. “Here’s the reason it could be over for him: the distraction,” the source told the Daily News. “It’s not that someone wouldn’t like to look at him, but the distraction he brings to an organization is not worth it.”
