“We’re excited that Tom will be joining our staff,” HC Chuck Pagano said in a statement. “He brings a strong coaching background and his players have routinely ranked among the league’s best in all facets of special teams. We look forward to working with him as we strive to have one of the top special teams units in the NFL.” The announcement comes five days after the Colts said they had parted ways with Marwan Maalouf, who followed Pagano from Baltimore to Indianapolis to become the Colts’ special teams coordinator a year ago. Before taking the job in Kansas City last year, McMahon spent three years as the Rams’ special teams coordinator and two years as assistant special teams coach for the Falcons.
