Chad Pennington Wants To Remain A Jet
(2/28 7:22 PT)

The Facts:
Pennington wants to stay with the Jets and hopes to come to an agreement with the team on a renegotiated contract. He said on Tuesday that the biggest issue was finding "middle ground." Pennington also said rehab on his surgically repaired shoulder is going "great" and he should start throwing "fairly soon." He expects to be ready for off-season training activities, mini-camp and the start of training camp in late July. Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Pennington and his agent, Tom Condon, rejected the Jets' first offer of slashing his base salary to $1 million. But Pennington is willing to continue negotiating until something is settled. Those close to the situation now believe the two sides will reach an agreement.
