Josh Morgan Has Surgery
(1/19 2:21 PT)

The Facts:
Morgan had surgery on his lower right leg on Friday. It wasn’t immediately clear what the latest procedure corrected. The Redskins didn’t release any information on Morgan’s surgery, and his agent didn’t immediately respond to inquiries about Morgan’s status. Morgan tweeted, “Surgery was a Success… Painful but worth it… Thank you god … Time to heal and get back doing me like I really do #HTTR.”  Reported by the Washington Post

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The fifth-year veteran this past season played in all 16 games a year after missing all but five contests after breaking his right leg and tearing ligaments near his lower leg/ankle area. Morgan recorded 48 catches for 510 yards and two touchdowns, and also recovered a fumble and scored a touchdown off of it. Despite playing in all 16 games, and Washington’s playoff game versus Seattle, Morgan was less than 100 percent this season as he continued to recover from last season’s injury. He was unable to make sharp cuts while running routes and lost some of his explosiveness and leaping ability. But Morgan appeared to be rounding into form late in the year, recording 25 catches for 247 yards and two touchdowns and 15 first downs in the final two months of the season. ... Stay tuned. We'll be following up as needed in coming weeks.
