Done Deal; Rob Ryan Finally Comes On Board As Rams DC
(1/24 6:41 PT)

The Facts:
Rob Ryan said he'd be out of work for "like five minutes" when he was fired by the Dallas Cowboys. Five minutes stretched to 16 days, but Ryan is back on the job. The St. Louis Rams hired Ryan as defensive coordinator Thursday, first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter and confirmed by NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Ryan has been an NFL defensive coordinator with the Raiders, Browns and Cowboys since 2004. Dallas coach Jason Garrett said Ryan was fired because of a lack of turnovers by his unit. The Cowboys had just 16 turnovers to tie for the fourth-fewest in the NFL. The Rams have a promising defense with one of the best cornerback pairings in the league - Cortland Finnegan and Janoris Jenkins. They also led the league with 52 sacks.
