Ahmad Bradshaw Open To Remaining In New York... Whether As Giant Or Jet
(2/13 12:6 PT)

The Facts:
The Giants cut Bradshaw because his salary no longer matched his injury-plagued production. But Bradshaw isn't so sure if he'll be joining a new team. Or if he'll be heading to a new city. "In playing with the Giants, they had mentioned that there was a chance for me to come back. I'm always up for that," Bradshaw told "NFL AM" on Tuesday. "Whatever, whoever needs me, whoever can use me. Whoever I feel that I can get a better chance of playing and helping which team. The New York Jets are a team that I've kinda been thinking about, just to stay home, not make a big move from New York. It's just right across the street from where I am now." Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News (via Profootballtalk.com), that’s not happening. Mehta reports that the Jets’ reaction to word of Bradshaw’s thoughts about staying in the same zip code can be characterized as “thanks, but no thanks. ...” Otherwise, as NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal notes, it's interesting to hear Bradshaw raise a return to the Giants as a possibility. Coming off foot surgery, it's not like Bradshaw will be a high-priced free agent this offseason. He might not sign with a team until he's fully healthy sometime before training camp. The Giants have David Wilson and Andre Brown in place, but Bradshaw would still fit in as a third-down back. ... Stay tuned.
