The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... Harvin trade talk is all the rage as the Vikings front office enters the NFL combine this week, but their mercurial wide receiver still is not commenting. Harvin waved off an approaching reporter in the driveway of the former Pro Bowler's Florida home Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 19. Speculation about Harvin's future in Minnesota has been swirling, with the receiver entering the final year of his rookie deal. "I got nothing to say about any of that," Harvin said before retreating into his house and closing the front door.

Well. ... That advances the story. ... Not. ... Last week, Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said the team has "no intent" of trading Harvin and expects him to report to training camp in July. But speculation and commentary continue about what will happen to Harvin's, from a contract extension to a trade to a holdout. He is scheduled to earn $2.9 million in 2013. Harvin has not addressed his situation since issuing a statement through the Vikings on Dec. 6 saying he was "disappointed" his Week 9 ankle injury forced him to be placed on season-ending injured reserve. He has not spoken to the media since hobbling into the locker room on crutches Nov. 5, the day after he was injured in a loss at Seattle. Harvin has been rehabbing at a clinic at the University of Florida in Gainesville. According to Pioneer Press staffer, Harvin walked without a noticeable limp outside his home. ... Stay tuned. Perhaps Harvin will also have nothing to say tomorrow.
