Again, as PFT's Darin Gantt noted, saying that doesn’t mean much, as an admission that he was actively shopping Harvin rather than giving him a new deal would cause the value of the asset to plummet. Gantt went on to explain, what Spielman intends is to maximize the value, either by finding a way to keep a dynamic player or to get a solid return for him. Harvin isn’t saying much at the moment either, so we all have settle for an ongoing stream on non-news news when it comes to this story.
