Seahawks Will Listen To Offers For Matt Flynn
(2/21 11:47 PT)

The Facts:
Free agency doesn't offer many riches, and the 2013 NFL Draft class is thin on gems. The drought under center makes two potential trade targets -- Alex Smith and Flynn -- more attractive than they might be otherwise. The San Francisco 49ers clearly are open to shopping Smith, and Seahawks general manager John Schneider isn't shooting down the possibility that Flynn could be on the market soon -- for the right price. "We're going to listen to everything," Schneider told reporters Thursday at the NFL Scouting Combine. Reported by NFL.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Flynn was signed last March to solve the Seahawks' problems at quarterback, but he attempted just nine passes all season as rookie Russell Wilson calmly guided Seattle into the playoffs. There will be no competition under center this time around, but Flynn's relatively affordable $5.25 million price tag makes him logical trade bait. ... And there are certainly teams with needs at the position. ... Stay tuned.
