The Facts:
The 49ers have tendered contract offers to restricted free agents QB Ken Dorsey and WR Brandon Lloyd. The 49ers also made an exclusive rights tender RB Maurice Hicks. "They are key guys," VP of player personnel Scot McCloughan said of Dorsey and Lloyd. "And with them being restricted, it allowed us to tender them and if someone tries to step in, we have all the leverage to match their offer and keep them with our ball club."

Lloyd was San Francisco's leading receiver last season with 48 catches for 733 yards and five touchdowns. Dorsey started three games in 2005, completing 53.3 percent of his passes for 481 yards and two scores.
