(2/24 12:20 PT)

The Facts:
Following up on the ongoing story. ... Bush has drawn interest from Detroit, but one team to really watch is San Diego, which also needs a third-down back. Bush grew up in San Diego and his parents still live there.  Reported by the Palm Beach Post

As Post staffer Ben Volin notes, Bush said several times in 2012 that he wants to come back to Miami because he likes the area, doesn’t want to bounce from team to team and his girlfriend is having a baby. But Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and NFL.com reported Saturday that Bush is unlikely to be re-signed by the Dolphins, who view him more as a luxury than an essential building block. As previously noted, Bush's representatives met with Dolphins brass earlier this week to get a feel of the situation. Bush wants to remain in Miami, but he also wants a competitive multiyear deal. According to Volin, GM Jeff Ireland would like to have Bush back at the right price, likely as a slot receiver and third-down back. ... Stay tuned.
