The Facts:
If Fitzpatrick remains on Buffalo’s roster as of March 13, he’ll earn a $3 million roster bonus. Though the Bills haven’t said Fitzpatrick will be cut, they also haven’t declared unequivocally that he’ll stay.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
When the Bills signed Tarvaris Jackson to a new one-year deal, new HC Doug Marrone declared that there will be an open competition at the position. But it will obviously be hard for Fitzpatrick to compete if he’s not on the roster. And while Marrone has informed Fitzpatrick of the open competition, the coach made it clear to PFT’s Mike Florio last week that he has no influence over the decisions made by the front office. And the man who runs the front office, GM Buddy Nix, hasn't exactly been an ardent or enthusiastic supporter of Fitzpatrick. Remember also, one he pays out that $3 million this month, Nix will still owe Fitzpatrick a $200,000 workout bonus and a $4.35 million base salary during the season. It's worth watching.
