Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
So why now? As NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal notes, voiding the deal on Thursday gives Jackson a five-day head start on the rest of the free-agent market. There are a lot of decent names available at running back, and Jackson might want to lock down a long-term contract before other top free-agent running backs like Ahmad Bradshaw, Reggie Bush and Rashard Mendenhall sign on the dotted line. The Atlanta Falcons
have been tied to Jackson the most, but plenty of teams make sense for him. Jackson isn't going to be a true primary back at this stage of his career, but he can help a team out in a time-share role.
