The Facts:
Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports the team is interested in re-signing Campbell after he played through a one-year, $3.5 million contract last season.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
That's understandable. If Campbell bolts in free agency, the Chicago Bears are staring at an empty cupboard behind starter Jay Cutler. Yes, Campbell started just one game for the Bears, a disastrous 32-7 loss to San Francisco on "Monday Night Football" that saw him punished by the 49ers to the tune of six sacks. But he also appeared in parts of five other games and -- the 49ers debacle aside -- brings more veteran experience than most of the passers set to hit the open market. Certainly more than Bears third-stringer Matt Blanchard, yet to take an NFL snap.
