The Facts:
Gibson is looking for a fresh start and won’t return to the Rams next season, league sources told the Post-Dispatch on Saturday.
Reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Rams were interested in re-signing Gibson, but only to a point as they attempt the annual task of upgrading their wide receiver corps. In a commitment to young wideouts Chris Givens, Brian Quick and Austin Pettis, the Rams wanted Gibson back in a role and for money commensurate to a No. 3 or No. 4 wideout. ... Meanwhile, the Miami Herald is reporting that the Dolphins are
in serious talks with Gibson's agent. It is unclear how -- if at all -- a contract offer would affect the Dolphins’ pursuit of Mike Wallace, who is expected to command a multiyear contract paying $12 million a year when free agency opens Tuesday, but there is clearly interest in adding both men to the mix at this point.
