The Facts:
Following up on the
ongoing story. ... A Miami Dolphins source with an "affinity" for Welker certainly believes that's the case. If the ice doesn't thaw in New England soon, the source tells the Miami Herald, Welker would like nothing better than "to stick it to the Patriots" for not paying him what he's worth.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As NFL.com's Chris Wesseling pointed out, the reports on Welker's relationship with the Patriots have been so varied that it's hard to know what to believe. One national report last week suggested that Welker still harbors "mild disdain" for the team due to his demotion behind Julian Edelman entering last season. More recent reporting has indicated Welker will at least test the market before re-signing with the Patriots. But if Herald staffer Armando Salguero's source is correct, things could get more interesting in coming days. That would be especially true if, as Wesseling suggests, Welker investigates teams like the Ravens, Broncos or Texans.
